Scam. We booked four tickets, got a confirmation email, then a call telling us that the flight had restrictions—no carry-on bags! Not even a laptop! (None of this was stated online.) They said it would cost another $250/person for carry-on bags, and when I told them I wanted to cancel, they tried to charge me a cancellation fee. Instead, I canceled my credit card and notified United Airlines about the scam.
